Subject: Issuance of Computerized Extracts
from the Register of Periodic Records-of-Rights (Fards) in Lahore District.
Dear Sir,
It is appreciable that record of land
revenue is being computerized and issuance of computerized Fards has been
started in Lahore District.
The issuance of Computerized Fards from
Kiosks still needs the intervention of Patwaris which causes double trouble for
the landowners.
Kiosks do not issue Fards without having
picture and thumb impression of landowner. In case landowner is incapable to
visit the Kiosk due to genuine reasons, such as being sick person or highly
busy person, how he can obtain Fard? There is no specific touchstone to meet
such situation which needs immediate attention to facilitate general public.
You are requested to please take up the
matter on urgent basis as one of my client has already been victimized due to
this process. He could not come to Kiosk due to his illness, and during the
consultation with Revenue Authorities, he died without having Fard for Gift
which has prevented him to dispose of his property at his own will.
Despite the issuance of Fards, why not the
access of computerized fards is given to the Sub-Registrars concerned in
Problem may be overcome with the arrangement
of mobile unit as NADRA has mobile unit which goes to the door steps of the
general public for the supply of Identity Cards.
Hope the matter will be taken up to resolve
the genuine problems expeditiously.
