The High Court Judges
(Traveling Allowance) (Amendment) Order, 1997
PRESIDENT”S ORDER 7 OF 1997
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the
High Court Judges (Traveling Allowance) Order, 1967 (P.O. No. 4 of 1965), for
the purposes hereinafter appearing
AND WHEREAS paragraph 2 of the Fifth
Schedule to the Constitution relating to the High Court provides that every
Judge of a High Court shall be entitled to such privileges and allowances, and
to such rights in respect of leave of absence and pension, as may be determine
by the President:---
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers
conferred by the aforesaid paragraph, the President, is pleased to make the
following Order, namely:---
1. Short title and commencement.(1) This Order may be called the High Court
Judges (Traveling Allowance) (Amendment) Order, 1997.
(2) lt shall come into force at on.
2. Amendment of paragraph 11, P. O. No. 4 of
1965. In the said
Order, in paragraph 11, in sub-paragraph (1),---
(a) for the
words “two hundred and eighty the words “three hundred and eighty” shall be
substitute; and
(b) in the
proviso, for the words “three hundred and thirty” the words “four hundred and
forty” shall be substituted.
