An Act to repeal the Martial Law Order No.1371, dated February 9, 1984 issued by MLA Zone ‘A’ (Punjab) (Ban on Student Unions)

Preamble.— Whereas it is expedient to repeal the Martial Law Order No.1371, dated February 9, 1984 issued by MLA Zone ‘A’ in the manner hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Martial Law Order No.1371 (Repeal) Act, 1989.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Repeal of M.L.O. No.1371.— The Martial Law Order No.1371 dated February 9, 1984 issued by MLA Zone ‘A’ (Punjab) is hereby repealed.

3. Repeal of Punjab Ordinance No.II of 1989.— The Martial Law Order No.1371 (Repeal) Ordinance, 1989 (Punjab Ordinance No.II of 1989) is hereby repealed.
