The Pakistan (Audit and Accounts) (Amendment) Order, 1996

PRESIDENT ORDER NO. 2 OF 1996

AN

ORDER

further to amend the Pakistan (Audit and Accounts) Order,  1973

WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Pakistan (Audit and Accounts) Order, 1973 (P.O. NO. 21 of 1973) for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of Article 168 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan the President is pleased to make the following Order, namely:---

1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Order may be called the Pakistan (Audit and Accounts) (Amendment) Order, 1996.

(2) It shall come into force at once and shall take effect from the 3^rd January, 1996.

2. Amendment of Article 3, P.O. 21 of 1973. In the Pakistan (Audit and Accounts) Order, 1973 (P.O. 21 of 1973), in Article 3, for the proviso the following shall be substituted, namely:---

“Provided that where the person appointed as Auditor-General is already drawing pension or other retirement benefits, he shall be entitled to the salary in the minimum of Basic Pay Scale 22 in addition to the pension and other retirement benefits being drawn by him.”.
