1ORDINANCE No. XX OF 1965
[4th June, 1965]
An Ordinance
to authorised the
WHEREAS it
is expedient to authorise the

WHEREAS the National Assembly is not in session and the President is satisfied
that circumstances exist which render immediate legislation necessary;
NOW,
THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 29 of
the Constitution and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the
President is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance :-
1. Short title, extent
and commencement.___(1) This Ordinance may be
called the

2. Definitions. In this Ordinance, unless
there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,---
(a) ”Cadet-entry
Officer” means a person appointed as a cadet in any branch of the Pakistan
Navy, and includes any such person promoted to the rank of midshipman or acting
sub-lieutenant, while still undergoing the prescribed course;
(b) ”prescribed course” means
a course of training prescribed by regulations made under this Ordinance.
2[3. Conferment of degrees on Cadet-entry
Officers. The Pakistan Naval Academy shall have the power to confer the degree of
the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts, abbreviation whereof shall be B.Sc
(N.A), or B.A (N.A.), respectively, and four years Bachelor of Studies in Naval
and Management Sciences, abbrevation where of shall be B.S (Naval and
Management Sciences), on any Cadet-entry Officer on his successful completion
of the prescribed course in the Pakistan Naval Academy appropriate to his
branch.]
