ORDINANCE XI OF 2002

Ordinance

further to amend the President’s Salary, Allowances and Privileges Act, 1975

WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the President’s Salary. Allowances and Privileges Act, 1975 (LVIII of 1975), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

AND WHEREAS the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary td take immediate action;

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 19P9, and the Provisional Constitution Order No. l of 1999, read with the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order No.9 of 1999 and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:---

1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Ordinance may be called the President’s Salary, Allowances and Privileges (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002.

(2) It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect from the first day of May, 2001.

2. Amendment of section 3, Act LVIII of 1975. In the President”s Salary, Allowances and Privileges Act, 1975, hereinafter referred to as the said Act, in section 3, for the word “twenty-three” the word “fifty-seven” shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of section 12, Act LVIII of 1975. In the said Act, in section 12, in subsection (2), for the word “twenty-three” the word “fifty seven” shall be substituted.

4. Omission of section 16A, Act LVIII of 1975. In the said Act, section 16A shall be omitted.
