An
Ordinance to provide for the termination of the services of undesirable
Government servants serving in Universities and other educational institutions
in [3][3][the
Preamble.— WHEREAS it is expedient to make provision
for the termination of the services of any Government servant, transferred for
service in any University or other educational institution, who has become
undesirable and it is necessary, in the public interest, to terminate his
services;
Now,
THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Presidential Proclamation of the seventh day of
October, 1958, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the
Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following
Ordinance:-
1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Ordinance may be called the [4][4][

come into force immediately after the Martial Law Order No. 124, issued by
Martial Law Administrator, Zone ‘B’, ceases to operate.
2. Termination of the services of
undesirable Government servants.— If in the opinion of the Governor, any Government servant serving in
any University or other educational institution is undesirable and it is
expedient, in the public interest, to terminate his services, the Governor may,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any law for the time
being in force—
(i) after giving him a
reasonable opportunity of showing cause against the action proposed to be taken
against him, terminate his services; and
(ii) direct
that such pension or Provident Fund as may be specified in the order be paid to
him.
