ACT No. VIII of 1992
An Act to revoke and annual certain Bills
passed by the National Assembly
WHEREAS it is expedient to revoke and annual
the Bills passed by the National Assembly on the 3rd day of May, 1992;
AND WHEREAS the National Assembly
unanimously by a Resolution on May, 7, 1992, resolved to withdraw the said
Bills;
It is hereby enacted as follows:---
1. Short title
and commencement. — (1) This Act may be called the Revocation
of Privileges Act, 1992.
(2) It shall come into force at once and
shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 3rd day of May, 1992.
2. Annulment of certain Bills. ___Notwithstanding anything contained in any
other law or the rules for the time being in force, the President’s Salary,
Allowances and Privileges (Amendment) Bill, 1992, the Prime Minister’s Salary,
Allowances and Privileges (Amendment) Bill, 1992, the Federal Ministers and
Ministers of State Salaries, Allowances and Privileges (Amendment) Bill, 1992,
the Members of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances) (Amendment) Bill, 1992, the
Chairman and Speaker (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill,
1992, and the Deputy Chairman and Deputy Speaker (Salaries, Allowances and
Privileges) (Amendment) Bill, 1992, passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan
on the 3rd day of May, 1992, resolved to be withdrawn by a unanimous Resolution
of the National Assembly, whether transmitted to the President for his assent
or not, or whether deemed to have become Acts of Parliament by afflux of time
or not, are withdrawn, revoked and annulled and shall be deemed always to have
been withdrawn, revoked and annulled and of no legal effect.
